The National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) organized the Wrap-Up conference of NALAG and KS joint project, “Local Democracy in Georgia – Challenges and Perspectives.” On the second day of the conference, participants discussed Inter-Municipal Cooperation. The conference took place in the hotel Holiday Inn, Tbilisi.
Mr. David Melua, the Executive Director of NALAG, Ms. Natya Ghvinashvili, deputy Executive Director of NALAG and Mr. Bjoern Rongevaer, Senior Advisor of the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (KS) international projects participated in this conference. Members of municipalities and experts of NALAG also took part in this conference.
Mr. Bjorn Rongevaer made a presentation of the Inter-municipal cooperation in Norway. Mr. Kakha Gurgenidze was next on the agenda presenting inter-municipal cooperation in Georgia.
Representatives from Lanchkhuti, Ozurgeti and Rustavi presented projects implemented in their municipalities in cooperation with NALAG.
