Local Activist of the political coalition of “Georgian Dream” blocked administrative building of Tetritskaro Municipality on January 10 2013 and did not allow local official to perform their duties. Later on these activists tried to break into administrative dulling smashing windows of the administrative building of municipality.  In this time local policy took rapid action and forced activists to leave administrative building of the municipality giving possibility to the local officials to continue performing of their duties.

NALAG expresses gratitude to the ministry of Interior of Georgia and to those police officers who maintained role of law in the Municipality of Teteritskaro and gave possibility to the local self government unit to perform its constitutional mandate. We also welcome the statement from the Minister of Interior of Georgia that criminal case will be initiated against those who coordinated attack on Tertritskaro Municipality and in future Georgian police will not tolerate blockage of local government units and illegal actions against local officials. We recognize this statement as a good model of cohabitation between political actors in Georgia.
