A group of Georgian local officials will visit Norway on 18-21 February 2019 for an in-depth look at inter-municipal cooperation between local governments in Norway.

During the visit participants will meet with Ms. Elita Cakule, Head of Department – international projects, Ms. Maia Kipshidze, Ambassador of Georgia to the Kingdom of Norway. Participants will visit Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation.

Throughout the Study-Tour participants will see how inter-municipal cooperation is organised and managed in Norway. Georgian guests will understand how inter-municipal cooperation can contribute to transferring more powers to Georgian municipalities. Participants will assess opportunities of decentralised cooperation and partnership between Georgian and Norwegian municipalities.
