Nino Vardosanidze, A member of Tbilisi City Municipal Assembly and the Chair of Legal Issues and Human Rights Commission, was appointed as his deputy.<\/p>\n<p>The main composition of the delegation also includes Gogi Putkaradze, a member of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Beka Vachnadze, Mayor of Poti Municipality, and Bela Mosia, a member of the Zugdidi Municipality City Assembly.<br \/>\nAs for the substitute members, the Congress approved the candidacies of Zurab Abashidze, Chairperson of the Tbilisi Municipality City Assembly, Tamar Khachidze, a member of the Gardabani Municipality City Assembly, Veriko Kvirkvelia, a member of the Lanchkhuti Municipality City Assembly, as well as Varlam Tsiklauri, Mayor of Akhaltsikhe Municipality, and Tekla Meburishvili, a member of the Kutaisi Municipality City Assembly.<\/p>\n<p>It should be noted that the National Association of Authorities of Georgia is a partner of the Government of Georgia in presenting the delegation to the Chamber of Local Authorities of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe is a pan-European political assembly that brings together 612 representatives from more than 200,000 local and regional authorities from 46 European countries.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Congress is to support democracy at the local and regional level, to improve the capacities of local and regional governments, and to strengthen self-governance. It places particular importance on the implementation of the principles established by the Council of Europe\u2019s Charter for local self-government.
