{"id":118694,"date":"2026-03-28T11:33:14","date_gmt":"2026-03-28T11:33:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nala.ge\/?p=118694"},"modified":"2026-03-29T08:35:03","modified_gmt":"2026-03-29T08:35:03","slug":"nalag-identifies-14-successful-municipal-projects-for-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nala.ge\/en\/nalag-identifies-14-successful-municipal-projects-for-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"NALAG Identifies 14 Successful Municipal Projects for 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG)<\/strong> has identified <strong>14 successful municipal projects<\/strong> for 2025.<\/p>\n<p>At the 8th National Conference, organized by NALAG, special awards were presented to the first persons of the municipalities and to the city hall employees who directly participated in the preparation of the competition applications for the winning projects.<\/p>\n<p>The following municipal projects were recognized as the Best Practices of 2025 in the <strong>Best Practice Programme (BPP)<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Rustavi \u2014 Digital Platform for Homeowners\u2019 Associations \u2014 Nomination: Citizen Participation, Transparency of the Activities of the Municipality\u2019s Representative and Executive Bodies, and Their Accountability to the Population;<\/li>\n<li>Khashuri \u2014 Development of Khashuri Municipality\u2019s Voluntary Local Review Document \u2014 Nomination: Private-Public Dialogue and Partnership at the Local Level;<\/li>\n<li>Senaki \u2014 Innovation, Economy and Sustainability \u2013 A New Standard for Public Dialogue \u2014 Nomination: Private-Public Dialogue and Partnership at the Local Level;<\/li>\n<li>Tkibuli \u2014 School of Visual Arts and Innovations in Tkibuli Municipality \u2014 Nomination: Successful Experience of Cooperation with International Donors and Raising International Funding for Development Projects.<\/li>\n<li>Poti \u2014 City Branding \u2014 Nomination: Medium-term Development Planning at the Local Level; Planning of Local Economic Development and Introduction of Innovative Models of Participatory Economic Development;<\/li>\n<li>Baghdati \u2014 Baghdati Municipality Wine Laboratory \u2014 A New Quality Standard for Imeretian Winemaking \u2014 Nomination: Medium-term Development Planning at the Local Level; Planning of Local Economic Development and Introduction of Innovative Models of Participatory Economic Development;<\/li>\n<li>Dmanisi \u2014 Local Model for Implementing Youth Policy in Dmanisi \u2014 Nomination: Implementation of Youth Policy and Promotion of Youth Involvement;<\/li>\n<li>Zestaponi \u2014 Zestaponi Municipality Multifunctional Youth Hub \u2014 Nomination: Implementation of Youth Policy and Promotion of Youth Involvement;<\/li>\n<li>Dmanisi \u2014 Kamralo Alternative Community Kindergarten \u2014 Nomination: Pre-school Education, Extracurricular Education, and Municipal Programmes for Adult Education;<\/li>\n<li>Senaki \u2014 Preventive Examinations for Primary School Pupils \u2014 Early Detection and Prevention as a Tool of Health Protection Policy at the Local Level \u2014 Nomination: Social Programmes Tailored to the Needs of the Child, Protection of Children\u2019s Rights, and Prevention of Harmful Impact on Children;<\/li>\n<li>Kazbegi \u2014 Neurodevelopmental Centre \u201cPhoenix \u2013 Kazbegi\u201d \u2014 Nomination: Social Programmes Tailored to the Needs of the Child, Protection of Children\u2019s Rights, and Prevention of Harmful Impact on Children;<\/li>\n<li>Dmanisi \u2014 Co-financing of the \u201cDmanisi Children\u2019s Day and Early Development Centre\u201d \u2014 \u201cEducation for Social Welfare\u201d \u2014 Nomination: Participatory Planning of Municipal Social Programmes, Increasing the Effectiveness and Accessibility of Municipal Social and Healthcare Programmes;<\/li>\n<li>Rustavi \u2014 Rustavi Digital Development Space \u2014 Nomination: Introduction of an Innovative Municipal Service\/Practice Using Artificial Intelligence; Diversity in the Delivery of Municipal Services through Electronic Modules; Development of Digital Services;<\/li>\n<li>Kutaisi \u2014 Application \u2013 Augmented Reality (AR) for Kutaisi Architecture \u2013 \u201cPhantome: An Extraordinary Exhibition\u201d \u2014 Nomination: Introduction of an Innovative Municipal Service\/Practice Using Artificial Intelligence; Diversity in the Delivery of Municipal Services through Electronic Modules; Development of Digital Services;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Special awards for the successful projects were presented to the representatives of the municipalities by representatives of central-level executive and legislative bodies and donor organizations.<\/p>\n<p>The winning projects were selected by the Steering Committee of the Best Practice Competition, taking into account the recommendations of the Evaluation Commission, which was composed of representatives of the public and non-governmental sectors and experts in the relevant fields.<\/p>\n<p>The event, which was held at the Paragraph Hotel, was attended by representatives of central and executive authorities, as well as non-governmental organizations and international organizations, the first persons of Georgian municipalities, and public officials.<\/p>\n<p>The 8th National Conference was held in cooperation with the United Nations Children\u2019s Fund (UNICEF) and the LEPL Youth Agency.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia<\/strong>, with the support of donor organizations, has been implementing the <strong>Best Practice Programme<\/strong> since 2018.
