The National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia convened the XLIX session of the Executive Council, chaired by the Vice-President of NALAG, Manana (Matsato) Narimanidze, the Mayor of Dusheti Municipality.
The participants of the session discussed the Black Sea Cooperation projects, which were presented in detail to the Council members by Nino Rukhadze, the Executive Director of NALAG, and her deputy, Tatiana Bokuchava.
As mentioned in the presentation, Black Sea cooperation projects for municipalities include seminars and training sessions on topics such as green and clean regions, protection of biodiversity and green infrastructure, reduction of pollution in urban areas, promotion of adaptation to climate change, disaster risk reduction, and ecosystem-based approaches.
Within the framework of the projects, it is also planned to organize ecological camps, cleaning events, and study visits to partner countries.
The executive board unanimously approved the projects. Following that, the meeting’s members discussed the changes to be made in the 2024 budget of NALAG and explored prospects for cooperation with the projects of the Association of Municipalities of the Netherlands.
