In the pursuit of strengthening existing mechanisms against gender violence, a training session was conducted for employees of the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) on the “Mechanism for sexual harassment prevention and response against gender-based violence.”
The two-day seminar, organized by NALAG and UN Women was supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
During the training, participants delved into a comprehensive understanding of sexual harassment, exploring its various facets. Additionally, the session focused on familiarizing attendees with NALAG’s Gender Equality Program for the years 2021-2023. Discussions centered around reviewing the outcomes of the current action plan and planning for the 2024-2025 action plan.
It is crucial that the action plan focuses on implementing a sexual harassment prevention and response mechanism, directly addressing NALAG and extending to the municipalities.
