Today marks the launch of the 16 Citizens’ Campaign Against Gender-Based Violence!
The National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) is proud to join this campaign alongside the public.
As part of the initiative, NALAG will focus on raising awareness and amplifying society’s voice to combat violence against women and family violence.
Throughout the campaign, the association will also share educational materials about the various forms and types of violence.
The 16 Citizens’ Campaign Against Gender-Based Violence, which has been observed worldwide since 1991, runs from November 25βthe International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Womenβto December 10, observed as International Human Rights Day.
During the campaign, other significant days will also be highlighted: International Women’s Day (November 29) World AIDS Day (December 1) International Volunteer Day (December 5) Montreal Massacre Remembrance Day (December 6).
