The National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) held its regular 51st session of the Executive Board, chaired by NALAG Vice-President Giorgi Tkemaladze.
After approving the agenda, the session participants reviewed a report on the organizationâs 2024 budget implementation and activities and discussed the draft budget for 2025.
According to NALAG Executive Director Nino Rukhadze, the 2025 financial plan focuses on strengthening the advocacy of municipal interests and providing expert and consulting services to regional platforms, thematic groups, and municipalities established in 2024, in line with the organizationâs priorities.
The session was conducted in a discussion format, where participants highlighted the critical role of these services. Members of the Council also proposed expanding the scope of platform topics. As noted by Nino Rukhadze, NALAG will thoroughly review these initiatives and implement them gradually as necessary.
Following the discussion, the Council unanimously approved the draft budget of the Association.
Additionally, the Statute of the Legal Issues Committee of the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) was approved during the session.
Notably, the Legal Issues Committee will be established based on this Statute.

The Committee will also aim to facilitate the decentralization process, submit these drafts to the relevant bodies, and actively participate in their discussion.
The meeting also approved the NALAG Rules of Procedure and the Associationâs Internal Labor Regulations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Executive Board members were informed about the introduction of a sexual harassment prevention and response mechanism within the Association.
