To promote the improvement of the youth policy management system at the local level, a cooperation memorandum was signed between the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) and the Public Service Development Agency β Youth Agency.
The document was signed by NALAGβs Executive Director, Nino Rukhadze, and the Acting Head of the Youth Agency, Vakhtang Baakashvili.
The primary goal of the memorandum is to create a supportive environment and new opportunities for young people, encouraging their active participation in democratic and societal processes. The document places special emphasis on enhancing the qualifications of public officials working on youth issues in municipalities, as well as developing mechanisms to improve youth awareness and engagement.
The memorandum also includes assessing the needs of local self-governments, ensuring targeted use of resources, and sharing successful practices across different municipalities. Based on the document, the parties will jointly implement initiatives aimed at improving the youth policy management system at the local level. Specialized programs, trainings, and other initiatives will be planned to strengthen the knowledge and skills of individuals working on youth-related matters in municipalities.
Particular attention will be given to communication. Under the agreement, the parties will ensure the active dissemination of information related to joint projects through social media and other online platforms, ensuring that young people are promptly and fully informed about the opportunities available to them.
According to the document, the parties will have the opportunity to make necessary amendments to the memorandum by mutual agreement.
