In 2025, the Legal Affairs Committee was established within the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia, composed of the heads of municipalities.
The committee’s goal is to ensure active engagement in local self-governance matters and to protect the interests of municipalities. It will review legal acts prepared by state authorities, assess them, and, if necessary, submit relevant recommendations and remarks.
Additionally, the committee will work on legislative proposals and draft subordinate acts that will contribute to the development of local self-governance and the decentralization process.
