We share with you the video clip created by the Council of Europe to celebrate 25 years of cooperation with Georgia.
The video clip describes in detail the cooperation between Georgia and the Council of Europe and the reforms carried out by Georgia before the approval of the Action Plan of the Council of Europe for 2024-2027.
It should be noted that the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG), which was established with the support of the Council of Europe, has been partnering with the Congress of the Council of Europe for 20 years, therefore, NALAG actively participated in preparation of the Action Plan of the Council of Europe for Georgia 2024-2027, which aims at supporting municipalities in protecting human rights, establishing citizensβ participatory mechanisms and implementing anti-discrimination policies in localities. Issues of environmental protection and energy efficiency are set as separate priorities.
“We intend to actively cooperate with the Council of Europe Office in Georgia in the implementation of the action plan and ensure maximum compliance of the implemented activities with the needs of the municipalities. We hope that in the near future we will have active consultations within the framework of this plan,” said NALAG’s executive director, Nino Rukhadze, during the presentation of the Action Plan of the Council of Europe for Georgia 2024-2027.
In the mentioned video, there is an interview of the Permanent Representative of Georgia to the Council of Europe, Ambassador, Tamar Taliashvili, who states that during the past decade, in view of Georgia’s unwavering aspiration for European integration, the partnership between Georgia and the Council of Europe has reached new heights.
The video clip was prepared by the Council of Europe and aims to raise awareness about the successful cooperation between Georgia and the Council of Europe.
