The evaluation of applications submitted by municipalities under the Best Practice Program (BPP) organized by the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) for 2025 is ongoing.
The winners of the contest will be determined based on the recommendations of the evaluation commission, which is composed of representatives from the public and non-governmental sectors as well as experts in the relevant fields. The final decision will be made by the program’s steering committee.
The aim of the BPP contest is to identify examples of innovative, effective, and democratic governance in municipalities, to provide opportunities for sharing good practices, and to introduce successful results to the wider public.
The award ceremony for the contest winners will be held in March during the national conference of the Best Practice Programme.
Since 2018, the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia, with the support of donor organizations, has been implementing the Best Practice Program, which is a tool recognized by the Council of Europe for identifying and sharing successful examples of good governance.
