In 2025, a Legal Issues Committee was established within the National Association of Local Self-Governments of Georgia.
The Committee’s goal is to actively involve local self-government in legislative processes and protect the interests of municipalities. The Committee ensures the review of draft legal acts prepared by state authorities, their evaluation, and, if necessary, the submission of relevant recommendations and comments.
The committee will also work on legislative proposals and draft bylaws that will promote the development of self-government and the decentralization process.
