Project Overall Objective: To promote the conservation and sustainable use of traditional vegetable varieties and landraces by establishing Seed Guardians, thereby enhancing agrobiodiversity, food diversity, and ecosystem services in the Black Sea region.
Project Specific Objective: To establish Local Community Seed Collections (CSCs) that will serve as seed guardians, ensuring the availability of traditional vegetable varieties. These CSCs will support the conservation of biodiversity, strengthen agrobiodiversity, enhance ecosystem services, and contribute to climate adaptation. Ultimately, the initiative will help guarantee food security, foster healthy food production, and increase the diversity of food products for citizens across the Black Sea area.
