A training session focused on practical aspects of construction law took place in Tbilisi, aiming to improve the qualifications of municipal employees.
The two-day seminar, supported by the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia, included representatives from Dusheti, Sighnaghi, Aspindze, and Chokhatauri municipalities.
Before the training commenced, NALAG’s executive director, Nino Rukhadze, and the director of the “Partnership at the Local Level for Public Administration Reform in Georgia” project, David Melua, gave a welcoming speech.
They emphasized NALAG’s commitment to organizing training sessions to assist municipality representatives in enhancing their qualifications and overcoming challenges within their territories. The training was structured based on relevant research findings, with the topic of construction selected following assessments conducted within the municipalities. Participants were briefed on NALAG’s consulting services, aimed at aiding municipalities in implementing their own and delegated powers for local authorities.
Led by construction law experts Ucha Zakashvili, Tamar Gvichiani, and Nino Ioseliani, the training provided detailed information on construction regulations and the criteria for construction approval.
Throughout the seminar, attendees engaged in discussions with experts, exploring ways to address challenges faced by their municipalities.
βThe event, held at the “Holiday Inn Tbilisi” hotel, was also attended by NALAG’s vice-president, Mayor Manana (Matsatso) Narimanidze of Dusheti Municipality, and the Association’s deputy executive director, Lasha Archvadze.
